Thurston County Public Health & Social Services is excited to announce the launch of the LifeSteps Lifestyle Change Program, a 16-week initiative focusing on nutrition, physical activity, behavior modification, small group support, and lifestyle change. The program, offered for free to participants, is designed to help individuals make positive improvements in their minds and bodies through cognitive-behavioral techniques.
Participants in the program will learn to implement small, sustainable behavior modifications such as positive self-talk, daily affirmations, walking meetings, and portion control. Each week, participants will take one small step towards creating a healthier version of themselves with guidance from a Certified LifeSteps Leader who is a Registered Dietitian. The benefits of the program are endless, including improved physical and emotional well-being, increased energy, and a more positive outlook on life.
Interested individuals can attend one of the required in-person orientations on January 14 or 21, 2025, to learn more about the program. If still interested, participants will have a one-on-one consultation with the Registered Dietitian to ensure the program is the right fit for them. The 16-week sessions will be held on Tuesdays from January 28 to May 13, 2025.
To register for an orientation or for more information, contact Lesley Price at 360.480.4654 or email LifeSteps@co.thurston.wa.us. Don’t miss this opportunity to make lasting changes for a healthier lifestyle with LifeSteps.
