The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is set to implement new technology on I-25 between Colorado Springs and Castle Rock starting December 1. This technology aims to prevent drivers from incorrectly using the express lane outside of designated areas. During a 30-day grace period, drivers will receive warnings in the mail, followed by fines starting January 1 for violations. This system will be applied to all of Colorado’s tolled Express Lanes.
