A month after Donald Trump danced at a political rally, his moves have made their way to sporting events across the country. Trump danced for roughly 40 minutes after two attendees fainted at a rally in Pennsylvania. Initially an unexpected moment in the lead-up to the election, the dancing trend gained momentum after Trump was re-elected for a second term in office. San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa celebrated a sack with teammates by dancing and credited Trump as his inspiration. Bosa had previously referenced Trump on the field and was fined by the NFL for violating uniform policy. At a UFC event in New York, heavyweight champion Jon Jones mimicked Trump after a victory as Trump watched from cage-side. Following in their footsteps, more NFL players celebrated big plays by imitating Trump’s dance moves, including Detroit’s Za’Darius Smith, Las Vegas’ Brock Bowers, and Tennessee’s Calvin Ridley. The influence of Trump’s dancing has now transcended politics and is making waves in the world of sports, with athletes across different leagues incorporating his moves into their celebrations.
