Cam Skattebo of Arizona State football will not be playing against UCF.

Arizona State football will be taking on UCF on Saturday without star running back Cam Skattebo, who is out due to injury, as confirmed by Arizona Sports. National college football reporter Brandon Marcello first broke the news that Skattebo will be missing the game at Mountain America Stadium due to a shoulder issue. ASU head coach Kenny Dillingham mentioned that Skattebo was considered a game-time decision, but the team wants to prioritize his health and ensure he is 100% ready to play.
Skattebo has been a key player for the Sun Devils this season, ranking seventh in the nation with 1,001 rushing yards and winning Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week four times. With Skattebo sidelined, sophomore Kyson Brown will step up to start at running back, along with increased reps for redshirt senior DeCarlos Brooks. Offensive coordinator Marcus Arroyo expressed confidence in Brown’s abilities and sees this as an opportunity for him to shine.
Despite Skattebo’s absence, the team is focused on maintaining their momentum and finding ways to win.
