Carl Pirie, a seasoned IT sales professional from Sacramento, has recently joined Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) as a Zerto sales specialist. With a strong background in technology sales, including cloud technology, state and local government sales, and data center technologies, Pirie’s expertise aligns with Zerto’s focus on data protection and disaster recovery solutions. Zerto, acquired by HPE in 2021, specializes in cloud migration capabilities that are in line with California’s government emphasis on cloud migration.
In his new role, Pirie aims to help protect critical data and ensure business continuity for California’s government agencies. He is excited about the opportunity to provide cutting-edge technology and build strong relationships with key decision-makers in the state. David Goodwin, national sales manager for HPE Zerto Public Sector, expressed his excitement about Pirie joining the team, citing his track record of success in state, local, and education sectors.
Pirie, with a wealth of experience in sales leadership roles at companies like Oracle, NetApp, and EMC, will be managing public-sector clients in the Western states, excluding the federal government. He holds multiple professional licenses and degrees, including a Bachelor’s in economics, a Master’s in computer science management, and an MBA in finance from the University of Maryland.
HPE is confident that Pirie’s expertise and experience will be valuable in meeting the data management and protection needs of clients in the SLED West region. With his extensive background and commitment to excellence, Pirie is poised to make a significant positive impact on the state’s digital infrastructure and security of essential government services.
