The Knights of Momus Frivolous Party took place on October 24 at The Pelican Club at Gaido’s in Galveston, bringing together Momus members from Houston and Galveston for a “Wickedly Enchanting Evening.” The event’s co-chairs were Frances and Tony Buzbee, as well as Sarah and Michael Piel. Guests were treated to a variety of delicious entrees, wine, and spirits while enjoying the festivities.
Established in 1867, the Knights of Momus is the oldest krewe supporting Galveston’s historic Mardi Gras celebrations. Members of the krewe wear coveted membership medallions to each event they attend. The organization plays a significant role in the city’s social and civic efforts, upholding the traditions of Mardi Gras on the island.
