Problems with Netflix’s website surged just before 9 p.m. ET, climbing to over 88,700 reports around 10:30 p.m. As undercard fighters competed, users experienced pixelated videos and joked about the streaming company’s IT department. The hashtags #NetflixFight, #buffering, and #netflixcrash trended on social media. Netflix had no immediate comment on the issues. The fight between Tyson and Paul, scheduled to begin around 11 p.m., featured the former heavyweight champion and social media star turned boxer. The event at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas was initially supposed to take place on July 20 but was postponed due to Tyson’s ulcer flare-up in May. Despite the technical difficulties, fans still eagerly anticipated the main event between the boxing legend and the internet sensation turned boxer.
