WNBA greats Sue Bird, Sylvia Fowles, Cappie Pondexter, and Alana Beard, along with Mark Campbell, Lucille Kyvallos, and Danielle Donehew, have been announced as the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2025. The prestigious honor recognizes their significant contributions to the sport and their impact on women’s basketball.
Sue Bird, a five-time Olympic gold medalist and four-time WNBA champion, has left a lasting legacy on the court. Cappie Pondexter, a two-time WNBA champion and 2007 Finals MVP, has also been recognized for her excellence in the game. Sylvia Fowles, a two-time WNBA champion and Finals MVP, and Alana Beard, a two-time WNBA Defensive Player of the Year and champion, have also been acknowledged for their achievements.
Mark Campbell, a successful coach at Union University, and Lucille Kyvallos, who led West Chester College and Queens College to early success, have also been honored. Additionally, Danielle Donehew, the executive director of the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association, completes the distinguished class.
