Tropical Storm Sara made landfall in northern Honduras and is expected to bring heavy rain to Central America and southern Mexico. The storm hit near the village of Brus Laguna with winds of about 45 mph. Mexican authorities are warning of intense rains in the Yucatan Peninsula. Sara is forecasted to drop 10 to 20 inches of rain, with isolated areas receiving up to 30 inches. The heavy rain could lead to flooding and landslides. The storm is expected to pass over Roatan before turning northwesterly towards Belize and the Yucatan Peninsula.
