Press Release: 2024 Paradox IRONMAN Arizona Set to Celebrate 20th Anniversary
Tempe, AZ – The highly anticipated 2024 Paradox IRONMAN Arizona, part of the VinFast IRONMAN North America Series, will return to the Salt River Valley on Sunday, November 17, 2024, marking two decades of endurance racing in the desert. With over 2,000 athletes registered, this milestone event promises to deliver excitement and competition.
The race weekend kicks off on Thursday, November 14, with athlete check-in taking place at the IRONMAN Village Expo, located at 80 W Rio Salado Parkway in Tempe. Competitors will embark on their challenging journey through the streets of Tempe and the greater Phoenix area, showcasing the region’s stunning landscapes.
The triathlon will feature a demanding course that begins with a 2.4-mile swim in the serene waters of Tempe Town Lake. Following the swim, participants will tackle a three-loop, 112-mile bike course on the Beeline Highway, which includes a challenging climb to the turnaround point before returning to the transition area. To complete the event, athletes will run a fast-paced, two-loop 26.2-mile course along the picturesque banks of Tempe Town Lake, taking them through Papago Park and along the scenic Rio Salado Parkway, culminating with a finish at Tempe Beach Park.
