Arizona Athletic Grounds Teams Up with NBC Sports Next for Comprehensive Live Sports Streaming
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – NBC Sports Next has announced a new partnership with the Arizona Athletic Grounds (AAG) to utilize the SportsEngine Play streaming platform for thousands of events held at the facility. The agreement positions SportsEngine as AAG’s “Exclusive Video and Streaming Partner,” aiming to enhance the accessibility of youth sports for family, friends, and fans.
“This collaboration allows us to capture every moment at one of the premier youth sports facilities in the U.S.," stated Will McIntosh, President of NBC Sports Next. The partnership will see the installation of over 80 advanced cameras throughout AAG’s vast 280-acre site in Mesa, which includes various fields and courts for sports such as baseball, basketball, and soccer.
According to AAG President Meg Stevens, the integration of SportsEngine Play aligns with the organization’s vision to be the nation’s leading youth sports venue. The streaming platform will enable live broadcasts, archived footage, and highlight clip capabilities, significantly enhancing the spectator experience.
Opened in 2022, AAG attracts more than 2.6 million visitors annually, with up to 100,000 guests on tournament weekends. SportsEngine Play, which launched in October 2023, stands out as a pioneering subscription service dedicated to youth and amateur sports, currently supporting over 10,000 facilities.
The platform not only offers live and on-demand streaming but also features a growing library of instructional content from sports legends. The All Access subscription tier provides young athletes and their families with essential resources covering various aspects of sports, from rules and equipment to mental health and fitness.
