UVEye, an AI-powered automated vehicle inspection technology, has been named one of TIME magazine’s Best Inventions of 2024. The system, described as an “MRI for vehicles,” uses deep learning to conduct quick and detailed examinations of vehicles, enhancing safety, reliability, transparency, and efficiency in the automotive industry.
TIME’s recognition of UVEye highlights the company’s mission to innovate in vehicular safety and smart transportation. The platform is currently being utilized by fleet operators, rental car companies, and 300 U.S. dealers to scan half a million cars per month. UVEye was founded in 2016 by brothers Amir and Ohad Hever. Amir Hever, now the CEO, expressed his gratitude for the company’s inclusion on TIME’s prestigious list and credited the team and partners for their innovation and drive.
In addition to TIME’s Best Inventions list, UVEye was also recognized by Fast Company as one of the World’s Most Innovative Companies of 2024. The magazine’s selections are based on nominations submitted by editors and correspondents worldwide, with a focus on growing fields such as health care, artificial intelligence, and green energy.
