After going missing for over two months, a Siberian Husky named Buck was found and returned to his home in the Yukon. However, what was truly surprising was the fact that Buck had somehow ended up all the way in Arizona, nearly 3,000 kilometers away from his home.
The adventure began when Buck went missing from his home in Whitehorse, Yukon, in late August. Despite extensive search efforts by his family and community members, Buck remained missing for weeks without a trace. That is until a woman in Arizona spotted him wandering around her property in early November.
The woman contacted the local animal shelter, who were able to trace Buck back to his family in the Yukon using his microchip. The family was shocked to hear that Buck had somehow made his way to Arizona, but they were overjoyed to hear that he was safe and would soon be returning home.
It is still a mystery as to how Buck ended up in Arizona, but it is speculated that he may have hitched a ride on a truck or some other form of transportation. Regardless of how he got there, the fact that Buck was able to survive on his own for over two months and make it all the way to Arizona is truly remarkable.
Buck’s family is grateful to everyone who helped in the search for him and are thrilled to have him back home safe and sound. They are now looking forward to giving Buck a warm welcome and plenty of love and attention as they continue to piece together the details of his unexpected journey to Arizona.
