The University of Arizona Wildcats men’s golf team finished in fourth place at the recent Mason Rudolph Championship. The tournament took place at the Vanderbilt Legends Club in Franklin, Tennessee, and featured strong competition from top collegiate golf programs.
The Wildcats were led by senior Briggs Duce, who had an impressive performance, finishing tied for fourth place individually. Duce shot a total of 7-under par over the three-round tournament. He had scores of 68, 68, and 73 on the challenging course, showcasing his skill and consistency on the greens.
In addition to Duce’s standout performance, the Wildcats had strong showings from the rest of the team as well. David Laskin finished tied for 15th place, Gage Stagg tied for 22nd, and Trevor Werbylo tied for 37th. The team’s combined efforts helped them secure a fourth-place finish in a competitive field.
Head coach Jim Anderson praised his team’s performance and highlighted their ability to compete against some of the best college golf programs in the country. He commended Duce for his stellar play and leadership on the course, as well as the team’s overall effort in securing a top-five finish.
