Donald Trump complains about Jewish voters’ lack of support and attributes it to the “Democrat curse”

Former President Donald Trump expressed frustration and disappointment during a speech at the Israeli-American Council national summit in Washington, where he complained about the lack of Jewish support for him in US presidential elections. Trump claimed that his support among Jewish voters only increased from 25% in 2016 to 29% in 2020, despite believing he should have near-unanimous support due to his pro-Israel policies.

He warned that if his opponent Kamala Harris were to win, it would result in Israel being wiped off the map, and criticized her for what he deemed as a lack of action in protecting Jewish Americans. Trump also highlighted his administration’s policy changes benefiting Israel, such as moving the US embassy to Jerusalem and recognizing the Golan Heights as Israeli territory.

During the event, Trump repeated his struggle to gain support among Jewish voters, suggesting that those who vote Democratic should have “their head examined.” He also emphasized that Israel’s existence was at risk if he did not win the election, claiming that 99% of Israelis supported him.

The former president was introduced by Megadonor Miriam Adelson, who praised him and urged the audience, including Jewish Americans, to support him in the upcoming election. On the other hand, the Uncommitted Democratic protest vote movement announced they would not endorse Harris but encouraged supporters to vote against Trump due to their opposition to the Biden administration’s handling of the Israel-Hamas war.
