The Boulder View Fire, located north of Scottsdale, Arizona, has prompted evacuation orders that have now been downgraded to SET and READY status. The fire, which started on June 27 near the Boulder Heights community, quickly grew to 500 acres and has since burned a total of 3,711 acres, with 60 homes impacted. Despite being 63% contained as of June 30, officials believe the fire was human-caused and is still under investigation.
Multiple aircraft and 244 personnel have been assigned to help contain the blaze, which is burning towards the area affected by the Wildcat Fire that burned 14,000 acres near Bartlett Lake a month prior. Road closures have been implemented at Bartlett Dam Road and Cave Creek Road to assist firefighting efforts.
As crews continue to battle the Boulder View Fire, residents are urged to remain prepared and vigilant in case evacuation orders are reinstated. The community is grateful for the efforts of the firefighters and emergency responders working tirelessly to contain the wildfire and protect homes and property in the area.
