The University of Arizona Health Sciences is collaborating with the City of Phoenix to develop a new Center for Advanced Molecular and Immunological Therapies in downtown Phoenix. The 7-story biomedical research center will focus on novel strategies for preventing and treating diseases. The city is providing approximately $20 million to support the project, which was approved during a city council meeting. Councilwoman Kesha Hodge Washington expressed excitement about the addition of CAMI and how it aligns with the community’s vision for growth.
The groundbreaking for the research center is expected to take place in the fall.
