Sydney Stewart Joins Arizona’s 2025 Roster as New Addition

Arizona Softball has recently welcomed Sydney Stewart as a new addition to their team. Stewart, a junior transfer from Washington, brings with her experience playing at a high level and is expected to bring valuable knowledge to the team. Head coach Caitlin Lowe expressed excitement about Stewart joining the Arizona family and believes she will be a great asset to the roster.

Stewart, originally from San Jose, California, has played a total of 91 games during her time at Washington, where she accumulated ten doubles, seven home runs, and 28 RBI. She was recognized as a third-team NFCA All-Pacific Region player in 2024 after a successful season with a .321 batting average, eight doubles, five home runs, and 18 RBI. Stewart also led the Huskies in walks during the season.

In 2023, Stewart appeared in 46 games and contributed with 10 hits, two doubles, one triple, and two home runs. She will be joining the team in the fall alongside transfer Saya Swain and incoming freshmen Emma Kavanaugh, Jenna Sniffen, Kate Vance, Anyssa Wild, and Sarah Wright.

The addition of Stewart to the Arizona Softball team is expected to bolster their lineup and bring a new dynamic to the team as they prepare for the upcoming season. With her skills and experience, Stewart is poised to make a significant impact and contribute to the team’s success on the field.
