Arkansas’s 2025 football schedule will see a change due to Conference USA realignment, with Missouri State joining the conference. The Razorbacks will now play 12 FBS opponents instead of the usual 11 FBS games and a game against an FCS team. The Bears, who currently play in the Missouri Valley Conference as an FCS member, will face Arkansas on Aug. 30, 2025, in Fayetteville. This marks the sixth meeting between the two teams since 2000, with the Razorbacks winning the most recent game in 2022. Former Arkansas head coach Bobby Petrino, now the offensive coordinator for the Razorbacks, previously led Missouri State to the FCS Playoffs in 2021. However, the Bears have had consecutive losing seasons since then under Ryan Beard, a former Petrino assistant.
The 2025 schedule for Arkansas also includes non-SEC games against Arkansas State, Memphis, and Notre Dame. In SEC play, the Razorbacks are expected to face the same opponents as in the 2024 season, with home games against Auburn, Texas A&M, Mississippi State, and Missouri, and away games against Tennessee, LSU, Ole Miss, and Texas. The schedule will be finalized later this year. Arkansas last played a schedule without an FCS opponent in 2020 when the SEC opted for a 10-game conference-only schedule. The upcoming 2025 season will provide an opportunity for the Razorbacks to navigate a challenging lineup of opponents.
